More UNIVERSAL MONSTER Legacy Collections on the Way!

A good many of you must have went out and gobbled up the DRACULA, FRANKENSTEIN and WOLF MAN Legacy collections in the past couple of months because on October 5, Universal Home Video will release three more sets in its "Monster Legacy Collections".

There will be a CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON set that will also include its sequels REVENGE OF THE CREATURE and THE CREATURE WALKS AMONG US.

THE MUMMY set will include the 1931 Boris Karloff classic, as well as THE MUMMY'S HAND, THE MUMMY'S TOMB, THE MUMMY'S GHOST and THE MUMMY'S CURSE.

THE INVISIBLE MAN will include the original film starring Claude Rains, as well as THE INVISIBLE MAN RETURNS (with Vincent Price), THE INVISIBLE MAN'S REVENGE, THE INVISIBLE AGENT and THE INVISIBLE WOMAN.

Unlike the previous sets released in April, more than half of the films in these new sets have never been released on DVD.

These releases will be coinciding with Universal's release of the DAWN OF THE DEAD (2004) on DVD in seperate R-rated and Unrated versions as well as a new anamorphic widescreen transfer of John Carpenter's THE THING (THE THING DVD will carry over the exact same features as the previous release on DVD with the exception of the new transfer).

Thanks for sharing the info Matt. The first three sets are great and I would like to see more of the classics coming out until they are all available on DVD. Gret news about Dawn of the dead, too.

Here are the specs for the new MONSTER LEGACY COLLECTIONS. Alos note that the release date has been moved to October 19th instead of the 5th. The previously mentioned DAWN OF THE DEAD (2004) and the anamorphic re-issue of John Carpenter's THE THING have also been postponed until this date as well.
