What is the goriest horror movie scene?

Pitch black - (26 December 2005)
I think thegorriest scene is when Glen gets sucked into the waterbed in A Nightmare On Elmstreet

Abe Dinkin - (26 December 2005)
The gorriest horror movie scene is when Regen stabs herself in the croch in the Exorcist

Rick Martin - (27 December 2005)
The gorriest movie scene is in Lucio Fulci's masterwork - The Beyond - actually two scenes both having to do with the same character :

1) When the little girl's mom is in the morgue looking at her recently killed husband and a jar of acid is somehow thrown over her face disolving it right in front of the little girl - then the dissolved goo from her mother's face begins to creep across the floor right at the little girl.

2) Later in the same movie, the little girl has half of head blown off by a blast from a 357 magnum - all in full living color

Check out any Lucio Fulci film for tons of gore filled moments that make The Exorcist and Nightmare on Elm Street look like Bambi. Also watch Day of the Dead and see how Rhodes gets his just dessert from the hord of zombies after Bub shoots him. Many of Dario Argento's films would fit the gorriest moment also - check out Susperia, Opera and Tennebre for more goodies!

Later ! Have a great New Year!

Have to go with Jesus' scourging in The Passion of the Christ, which I think would have gotten a lot more love if it was regarded as a horror movie.

Argento isn't really that gory from what I've seen. That thing with the needles holding up the eyelids in Opera though gives me the creeps.
